Making the Most of Your Dental Insurance

To maximize your dental insurance benefits, prioritize using it for preventive services such as checkups and cleanings. These services are typically fully covered by most plans. Along with keeping your out-of-pocket costs low, a prevention-first approach also reduces your risk of more involved dental issues that will require expensive procedures to fix, meaning you’ll save money now and well into the future.

What Your Dental Insurance Plan Covers

While every dental insurance plan has its own unique benefits structure, most follow this same basic format:

  • Preventive services (checkups, cleanings, X-rays) are covered 80-100%
  • Restorative services (fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures) are covered 50%
  • Cosmetic services (bonding, veneers, whitening) are NOT covered because they are elective procedures

While insurance can be a big help if you develop a cavity or broken tooth, it’s easy to see why keeping up with your twice-a-year checkups and cleanings is the best way to take great care of both your smile and wallet.

We Offer In-Network Savings & Welcome Out-of-Network Providers

Little Rock Family Dental Care can accept plans from many different providers, and we’re able to work with both in-network and out-of-network policies. Being in-network simply means we have a contract with an insurance provider to offer our services for set fees. Typically, the difference between in-network and out-of-network coverage is minimal. However, feel free to reach out to us for clarification on your coverage before your visit. We're here to ensure you have a clear understanding of your benefits.
